Life in the capital: Four fifths of Prague residents are satisfied, the survey showed

The third conclusion is according to the IPR high civic and community engagement. More than 40 percent of Prague residents are interested in participating in community events. a third (28 percent) of whom feel part of the local community. According to the survey, people who are more involved in community life in their place of residence are also more satisfied with their place of residence and its surroundings and are more civically active.
Satisfaction with politics and the climate
According to the findings, there is also a slightly increasing tendency satisfaction with the political representation of the capital city of Prague. A large proportion of Prague citizens (74 percent) consider the municipal elections to be important and, according to their own statements, regularly participate in them (60 percent). Approximately 30 percent of Prague citizens are satisfied with the functioning of the local government and the City Hall of Prague, 22 percent are dissatisfied, and the rest are neutral or don’t know, according to the survey.
The final conclusion, according to the IPR survey, is that 75 percent of Prague residents perceive climate change as a threat. According to the IPR, women, younger people and students perceive the threat more. According to the survey, the share in Prague is slightly higher than for the population of the Czech Republic as a whole. Because of the climate, almost half of Prague residents considered buying an electric car.
