Index – Economy – Payments can only be made in an existing country, as in Hungary
Within the European Union, salaries earned only in Bulgaria are higher than in Hungary, according to the latest Eurostat survey.
According to a new calculation method, the EU statistical office has published a report on the average earnings in the EU in 2021. In the calculation, not only the salaries of full-time employees, but also those working part-time were taken into account.
As a result, the average annual salary in the EU was 33,500 euros gross. Hungary fell well short of this indicator,
in this country, the average salary came to 12,600 euros.
This corresponds with minimal deviation to the data that NAV published last year’s earnings.
THE Statistics according to him, only the Bulgarian average salary was cheaper than the Hungarian one (10,300 euros). Romania already performed slightly better than Hungary (13,000 euros), just like the other countries in the region, but the average salary above the average was only in Austria among its neighbors. The most money in Luxembourg (€72,200), Denmark (63 300 euros) and in Ireland (50 300 euros) people were looking for.
Another Eurostat survey was published recently, Bulgaria is also the last, Hungary took the penultimate place.
