Updated 16:10 – A tram derailed in the center of Prague between Lazarská and Spálená streets on Tuesday afternoon. She drove onto the sidewalk and broke through the railing. According to Prague police spokesman Richard Hrdina, there were no injuries in the accident. The situation affects traffic for a long time, now traffic has been restored.
The police are now investigating the incident. Traffic restrictions apply to tram lines 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 14, 18, 22, 23 and 24. “Trams are routed along diversion routes according to available track capacities. We recommend that passengers use the metro lines,” recommended PID before 3 p.m. Subsequently, Karlovo náměstí – Václavské náměstí – Jindřišská was restored. At 15:39 already was operation completely restored.
