A tram derailed in the center of Prague, no one was injured, traffic is limited

Prague – At the intersection of Lazarská and Spálená streets in the center of Prague this afternoon, a tram derailed and crashed into a guardrail. Nobody was injured. Police spokesman Richard Hrdina told ČTK. Tram service was completely interrupted in the area for about half an hour, from 15:00 trams will run between the Wenceslas Square and Karlovo náměstí stops. It follows from the information on website transport company. Lazarská is a vital Prague tram corridor, the accident affected ten tram lines.
“Tram operation in the center of Prague was interrupted or severely limited by the traffic accident near Lazarská. Trams are routed along diversion routes according to available track capacity. We recommend that passengers use the metro lines,” he said on twitter organizer of Prague Integrated Transport (PID).
The outage affects tram numbers 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, 14, 18, 22, 23 and 24. From 15:00, the lines between Wenceslas Square and Charles Square will run, lines to the National Theater will not run. It is not clear when traffic will be fully restored.
