Agathe Cauet, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, says she is ready to “take up the challenge” of Miss Universe
Agathe Cauet, first runner-up to Miss France, hopes that her scarf will open “the doors to major events”.
It didn’t play out much on Saturday night for Agathe Cauet. Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais won the first runner-up sash, just behind Miss Guadeloupe Indira Ampiot, crowned Miss France 2023.
If she said she was “very proud of her beautiful scarf”, the Cambrésienne does not intend to stop there. Asked by The voice of the North, she believes that “there are undoubtedly other great things waiting for her” and that this second place on the podium can “open the doors to great events for her.
Indeed, the first runner-up may be required to replace the elected Miss in the event that the latter is unavailable or dismissed.
“The First Dauphine sash can also open the doors to major events where I might have to replace it, such as international competitions,” she explained to the newspaper.
“I will be ready to take on this other challenge”
Among these events, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais thinks in particular of the Miss Universe contest, in which she will be able to participate with her first runner-up scarf.
“I tell myself that I would be ready to take up this other challenge!”, commented Agathe Cauet.
In 2016, another Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais won the prestigious election: Iris Mittenaere, elected Miss France the previous year.
In the meantime, Agathe Cauet plans to go “to meet the people of the North” by being present at around twenty elections in the region this year.
