Unfamiliarity on the streets of the city center
“It’s going crazy on the streets of the town,” says media person Egill Helgason in a post on Facebook.
In an interview with mbl.is, he says that he threw away the post in question after he noticed that it was kept on Skólavörðustíg, but he says that the snow melting system has no escape.
“People were loitering in the streets, and it was a complete alienation,” he says, adding that there are two ways to deal with this.
“On the one hand, the city has to do its part. So I think that those who run shops and restaurants also need to bring their own contribution and shovel outside.”
Then he considers each of our responsibilities as citizens.
“I can’t imagine that it’s fun for a person who is running a store or a restaurant in the city center to see people who are nothing but themselves.” It’s rather unpleasant, and a bad advertisement for the places.”
Sends an SOS due to the hook
Diljá Mist Einarsdóttir, member of parliament for the Independence Party, strikes a similar chord in her post on Facebook about the ice in the city center.
