Sale: Thomas Ramos guilty of a whim? Ugo Mola steps up and defends his player
Zapping World Fifteen Grand Slam, competition with Léo Coly, Mondial 2023…
Stade Toulousain won on Ernest Wallon’s lawn after a spectacular and very pleasant match to watch against English side Sale Sharks. But who says English necessarily says clashes and scuffles between Tricolores and British.
This was particularly the case for Thomas Ramos who was somewhat insulted at the end of the meeting by several Sharks players after a potential whim on Byron McGuigan’s last try.
Asked at a press conference, coach Ugo Mola gave his point of view and denied the aggression of which his player is accused:
”He is believed to have headbutted before the clash. When you know the boy, the headbutt, I don’t think that’s even an option…
Afterwards, you have to see the Sale player’s hand but, in absolute terms, I don’t feel that there is any characteristic aggression.
to summarize
Stade Toulousain coach Ugo Mola has given his opinion on the red card of international full-back Thomas Ramos. According to him, he is not the type to be the author of this kind of gesture and he supported him after the meeting.
