“There was a physical attack on Novodvorská street. A man with a knife attacked two women. We immediately started looking for the perpetrator and managed to catch her. because he didn’t want to surrender to the patrol, if he still attacked the police officers with a knife, they had to use coercive means and firearms,” said the spokesman of the Prague police, Richard Hrdina.
Two injured women remained at the scene, one seriously, the other with a minor injury. “We intervened first in the case of two women who were attacked. One suffered very serious injuries and paramedics had to put her into artificial sleep and secure her airway. After that, they transported her to the Motol hospital,” said Jana Poštová, spokeswoman for the Prague ambulance service.
The second attacked woman escaped the attack with minor injuries, she was awake the entire time and was taken to Thomayer Hospital by an ambulance.
