Siena, from the “Topi Dalmata” association, here is the project that brings the street game back to the neighborhoods
“In the sign of the game” between street painting events, entertainment for young and old and traditional games to play in the city’s neighborhoods. A playful and educational project that will accompany the Christmas holidays of Sienese families born from the collaboration between the Department of Youth Policies of the Municipality of Siena and the Topi Dalmata cultural association.
Following the great success achieved in recent years by the “Playbus” project, with which old wooden games were rediscovered and which saw the participation of many families in the city districts, three new appointments, during the festive period of the break from schools, dedicated to playing and discovering urban spaces. In addition to playing, the aim of the project is to re-inhabit some squares in the neighborhoods by tracing play areas in a creative and permanent way, to create spaces dedicated to playful activities with street painting and to rediscover traditional games capable of involving several generations together.
Each square will be discovered with an event dedicated to street games and traditional games. For each appointment there will be a mobile listening point which will host the Guarantor of Childhood and Adolescence in order to promote a present and active dialogue with minors by providing dynamic tools. First appointment on Tuesday 27 December from 10.30 to 13 in San Miniato in piazza della Costituzione, Wednesday 28 November from 10.30 to 13 in Taverne d’Arbia in piazza Oriana Fallaci and from 14.30 to 17 in Isola d’Arbia in via della Mercanzia, and finally Thursday 5 January from 10.30 to 13 in Coroncina in piazza Madonna del Buonconsiglio and from 14.30 to 17 at Petriccio, municipal park in via Sansedoni.
