Roma Multiservizi becomes an in-house company, Preventive ad Ama
ROME (ITALPRESS) – Roma Multiservizi becomes an in-house company. The participation fees are acquired by Ama and the integrated school service for infant-toddler centers and nursery schools (auxiliary service, cleaning, assistance with school transport also for primary and secondary schools) will therefore be internalised, without having to go to the double-object tender envisaged by a resolution of 2018.
This is the content of the provision which was given the go-ahead by the Capitoline Council, will then be submitted to the vote of the Capitoline Assembly, which initiates the negotiation process between Ama Spa and the private partner of Multiservizi Spa, approves the consequent statutory changes and guarantees, through the Capitoline School, Work and Training Department, which ensures the necessary continuity of the services indispensable for the functioning of the school structures.
The decision came at the end of an analysis process based on an accurate Due Diligence and which took into consideration the contents of the Report drawn up by the competent Capitoline departments with the methodological support of an important consultancy firm. This report highlights the economic convenience and financial sustainability of the direct management of the service. In practice, the Economic and Financial Plan of the in-house company covers the costs of the service, avoids resorting to external tenders, avoids the risk of possible bankruptcies of private operators and better guarantees compliance with the minimum standards of the integrated service.
“It is a clear choice that we have agreed upon at the end of a fruitful discussion with the social partners – explained the Mayor Roberto Gualtieri – and following an objective evaluation of the costs and benefits. In the end, it was clear that the home solution was the most convenient from all points of view. We have not chosen this path lightly – continued the mayor – we have considered both options on the field without preconceptions and then identified the right one. Now – he concluded – we will be able to guarantee services that meet expectations in a particularly delicate area for many Roman families and for many workers in the sector”.
It is a very important step for Roma Capitale – added the Councilor for School, Work and Training, Claudia Pratelli – which comes after a study, which demonstrates how the decision to internalize the service is more effective and solid, both in terms of quality and in terms of economic sustainability of the service. This choice, in analogy with the orientation of the State, which has already planned to internalize the personnel dedicated to cleaning and auxiliary services in state schools, was accompanied by a close dialogue with the trade union organisations. Today, therefore, we are approving, with great satisfaction, an important policy act, both for schools and for the stability of workers.” she then concluded.
