A thirty-four-year-old man stabbed two women in Novodvorská street in Prague 4 on Saturday evening. The police had to use a firearm to arrest the suspect, the man died of his injuries on the spot. It was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Prague police, Richard Hrdina, and the spokesperson of the Prague rescue service, Jana Poštová. The TN.cz server drew attention to the case.

The attack happened around 7:00 p.m. “The police searched for the perpetrator, tracked him down and had to use a firearm as a means of coercion, and the suspect succumbed to his injuries on the spot,” Hrdina said.
Paramedics took the injured women to the hospital. One of them had to be put into artificial sleep by rescuers due to a very serious condition.

After the shooting, the police immediately began to resuscitate the man, after which paramedics took over upon arrival. “Unfortunately, the injuries were very serious in the end and the man succumbed to them on the spot, despite all the efforts of the rescuers,” added the spokesperson of the rescue service.
The emergency services took both women to the hospital. According to Poštová, one of them is in a very serious condition, the paramedics took her to the Motol hospital in artificial sleep.
“The other woman was faring much better, suffering only minor injuries, was conscious throughout and was transported to Thomayer Hospital,“ Poštová added to the radio journal.
The police will now investigate all the circumstances of the case, and will not provide any more information on Saturday, the spokesman said. On twitter then the police said that there was no danger to anyone in the area and that they would inform the General Inspectorate of the Security Forces about the intervention.
