WorldSpaceForum: Courteous; Italy as a pioneer, the strong point sector for Expo2030 Rome
VIENNA, DECEMBER 14 – During the second day of the WorldSpace Forum 2022 which opened yesterday at Vienna – organized byONEOSAthe Office of United Nations for outer space affairs and since Austrian government until 15 – the ambassador Alexander Cortesepermanent representative of Italy to the United Nations in Vienna, underlined the role of the UN agency that deals with space, defining it as a valuable work aimed “at promoting the global cooperation in Stpatio”. As for theItaly Cortese recalled his ”pioneer role thanks also to first satellite launched in 1964”. It should also be emphasized for the ambassador “the development of the aerospace sector as a strong point of Expo2030 Rome”.
The WorldSpaceForum is the largest annual United Nations-led conference on peaceful uses of space. Experts discuss the benefits of space for virtually everyone this year under the headline “Sustainability in space for sustainability on Earth”.
The Forum wants to point out that space resources are powerful tools to support the realization of Sustainable development goals stability from the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. Starting from satellites, which are increasingly used for the benefit of work in many sectors, ending with space technologies that can help to be better prepared to face humanity’s common challenges.
