Tiffany & Co. opens a new store in the GLOBUS Zurich Bahnhofstrasse
Tiffany & Co. has officially opened its new store at Globus Zurich Bahnhofstrasse. The approximately 100 square meter sales area is located in the luxury area on the ground floor of the renowned Swiss department store and impresses with a new, modern Tiffany Store design and a fine selection of extraordinary jewelry collections.
The new Tiffany world presents itself with gently curved silhouettes and rounded walls that create an inviting and at the same time pulsating sense of space. Soft pastel tones complement the elegant wooden floor for a special and luxurious ambience. The rounded showcases in a polished champagne tone showcase a range of notable Tiffany & Co. designs, including jewelry from the Tiffany T, Tiffany City HardWear, Tiffany Victoria, Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger and Elsa Peretti collections, as well as the new Tiffany Lock collection.
When entering the store, a world of experience opens up in an appealing and warmer atmosphere, which is characterized by organic, supple shapes. Feminine elements are reflected in exciting artwork and imagery that showcase the rich and eclectic heritage of the house. The jeweler’s iconic Tiffany Blue is reflected in delicate accents throughout the store’s color spectrum. Finely hand-applied layers of plaster along the walls are reminiscent of flowing cloud formations. The environment combines natural woods and natural finishes, shaped metalwork and pearlescent surfaces. As a central design element, the illuminated Tiffany Signature diamond display case offers an impressive stage for the house’s legendary love & engagement icons and diamond jewelery creations.
Large, colorful glass installations in the shop windows pay homage to Louis Comfort Tiffany, who was the first to assume the role of design director in his father Charles Lewis Tiffany’s company, founded in 1837. The window motifs refer to the innovative glass creations by Louis Comfort Tiffany, which can be found in the artist’s worldwide lamp and window designs.
The store also features artworks by Dutch artist Eelco Hilgersom and Czech artist Jan Kaláb in a permanent exhibition. This has been since Tiffany & Co.’s long association with the art scene and pays tribute to the resulting relationships the House has forged over the past few decades.
In addition to the flagship store opened in 1988 at Bahnhofstrasse 14, the new Globus store is the second branch of Tiffany & Co. in downtown Zurich and the third in Switzerland, where the traditional house has also had a flagship store on Rue du Rhône 21 operates in Geneva. The reopening enables the house to be committed to its customers in the city, in the metropolitan region of Zurich and around the world.
