Rapallo: direct connection with Vienna a dream come true
The stop in Rapallo of the European train that connects Tigullio to Austria and Germany was not determined by the new regional councilor for Transport and Tourism Augusto Sartori who lives in Santa Margherita and in recent days he has repeatedly felt tugged at the jacket: “Why Rapallo and not Santa?”. The Railways make the choice on the basis of the number of arrivals and departures that take place in the various locations.
Naturally, the mayor of Rapallo is satisfied with the stop who, unlike other Municipalities, has taken steps to transform Piazza Molfin0, in front of the railway station, into a living room.
And today the mayor himself states in a post: “Rapallo is increasingly connected by train with the large Italian and European cities and I often use this useful means of transport for my work commitments. Did you know that from our city it is possible, for example, to reach Florence in two hours, Rome in 3 and a half hours and that from this week there is a daily and direct connection with Vienna, Munich and Salzburg? A notable improvement, of international scope. We continue to work together with the service managers to add quick connections to other strategic nodes and to make Rapallo increasingly attractive and central from a tourist-commercial point of view”
It is also possible that the Councilor for Tourism Elisabetta Lai will find sponsors to promote the winter destination Rapallo on the websites of Salzburg, Vienna and Munich. The means to deseasonalize tourism exist; just promote them.
