Prague will send heaters and power plants to Ukraine
Prague will send 626 diesel heaters and 18 power plants to Ukraine for the cities of Kyiv and Mykolaiv. They should arrive in Čierná nad Tisou, where the Ukrainians will take them over, within one to two days. ČD Cargo will transport 315 pallets in six cars. This was said at Prague’s Libeň Railway Station, from where the trains will depart today, the acting mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates), the Ukrainian chargé d’affaires Vitalij Usatyj and the director of ČD Cargo Logistic Jana Mlkvá. According to Hřiba, Prague will send 400 heaters and 10 power plants to Kyiv and 226 heaters and eight power plants to Mykolaiv. They will be given to the city administration, which will then decide how to use the material. The heaters and power plants come from Prague stocks, according to Hřiba, the purchase value of the equipment was 15 million crowns. “We had these extra things in case of some unexpected event, but I think the unexpected event happened right now and they are needed somewhere else,” Hřib said. According to him, the firefighters have additional supplies for Prague. He added that in the future, Ukraine will generally need help with the reconstruction of the cities that Russia destroyed. Usatyj said that Prague always sends to Ukraine exactly the help that is needed at the given moment. He thanked the capital and ČD Cargo.
