Dijon bars prepare to welcome supporters for the World Cup semi-final
The Côte-d’Or is preparing to follow the semi-final of the Football World Cup between France and Qatar. A fan zone is installed at the Zenith of Dijon
there are also giant screen broadcasts in Mirebeau-sur-Bèze and Châtillon-sur-Seine, and then there are obviously a whole bunch of bars that will broadcast the event. Nicholas Sauvage is the owner of Bamagotchi, Camden Café and Barbarian’s in Dijon.
Have you wondered about the retransmission of matches?
Not really since Barbarian’s is the broadcast pub, we broadcast all kinds of matches. The Bamagotchi has just opened, we have put up a screen since the inauguration since we have a large space that lends itself to it. We will also broadcast the matches of the XV of France next year. This story of the boycott, everyone forgets it more or less, even if it is true that this World Cup is special.
Are you full tonight?
On a batch of booking requests. But on our establishments, especially on the Barbarian’s, we don’t take it, because it’s complicated to manage. On the other two, as on a catering part, we can afford to take reservations. It’s true that we haven’t been taking it for a few days. We have a limited number of seats compared to our opening statements, so if we are full, we redirect customers to other establishments.
Are you worried about possible overflows?
No. On our side already, we are used to managing this kind of event. We have a team in place that knows how to take care of this type of evening. We never took a security service, we never had any problems.
