13.12. – Prague Airport continues to provide a safe experience for all passengers. This is proven by the ACI Airport Health Accreditation certificate, which once again awarded Prague Airport a high level of health goals and measures. These lead to greater safety for passengers flying through Prague. The certification recognizes that the standards correspond to international organizations that operate in aviation.
ACI World Director General, Luis Felipe de Oliveira writes in the accreditation: “A review of the data you provided through our rating system has shown that your airport continues to admirably meet the objectives of making all passengers feel safe during their visit. Your actions are in line with the recommended health precautions set out in the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery Guidelines, the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council’s Aviation Recovery Task Force and industry best practices.”
Prague Airport defended its accreditation for the next twelve months. “Since travel protection measures were gradually loosened in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe, we continued to take care of moving processes and measures. Some of them remained with us in the form of recommendations, such as a respirator in closed areas of the airport. I am extremely happy that travel is slowly returning to its old ways without fear, that we are thus returning to the path to a promising future in which a safe place like the airport plays a very important role,” says Jakub Puchalský, a member of the Prague Airport Board of Directors.
ACI Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) is an official accreditation program open to all airports of this organization worldwide. As part of it, ACI evaluates airports according to individual criteria and thus assesses their set protective measures and other tools they use in the fight against the coronavirus. Accreditation then confirms that the airport is well prepared and that passengers can collect and fly safely from these airports. At the same time, thanks to this crediting, hygiene standards are set during travel throughout the aviation industry, which aim to increase not only passenger satisfaction, but also the satisfaction of passengers at the accredited airport and increase the demand for air travel.
Airports Council International (ACI) is a worldwide industry association that brings together approximately 1,960 airports in a total of 176 countries. It was founded in 1991 and aims to promote cooperation between members and other partners in the field of air transport.
