MONETA Tennis extra league: Přerov did not give Pardubice a chance, I. ČLTK was not enough for RPM Spoje Praha
MONETA Tennis Extraliga 2022 Ostra will continue on Tuesday with the second round of semi-final group matches. In the Prostejov group, the favored Přerov managed thanks to the dominant Linda Nosková already after the singles with Pardubice. In Prague, the RPM Spoje Praha team claimed a sovereign triumph over I. ČLTK! Last year’s finalists from Sparta and Prostějov, who managed their opening matches on Monday, had time off this time.
RPM Spoje Praha celebrates a win over I. ČLTK
The score of the Prague derby was opened by the elite Dutch doubles player and representative of the RPM Spoj team Matwe Middelkoop, who managed the teenager Vojtěch Petr after sets 6:3 and 6:4. Sixteen-year-old Nikola Bartůňková then countered for the I. ČLTK club, who defeated the more experienced compatriot Jesika Malečková 6:3 and 7:6 in an attractive fight. After two opening singles, the score was tied at 1:1.
Matěj Vocel, who beat Jiří Barnat in two sets (6:2, 6:4), returned a one-point lead to the selection of RPM Prague. Russian tennis player Yekatěrina Alexandrová followed her team-mate by winning 4:6, 6:4 and 6:3 over Terezá Martincová.
Toby Alex Kodat from the United States made it 4:1 for RPM, thanks to a reversal against Polish opponent Kacper Żuk (6:7, 6:2, 6:3). The certainty of a valuable victory for Spoj was won by Petr Nouza, who defeated former 45th ranked tennis player Maximilian Marterer from Germany (7:6, 6:3).
The RPM Spoj Praha team, which already started in Sunday’s preliminary round, will thus play against Sparta on Wednesday for promotion to Friday’s final.
Přerov dominated against Pardubice
After Monday’s narrow defeat against the favored Prostějov, Přerov got his taste in the match against Pardubice, whom he defeated after the singles. Slovakian Rebecca Šramková first defeated Maria Slameníková 6:1 and 6:2, eighteen-year-old Nosková then awarded two canaries to Adéla Wasserbauer.
The third Přerov point was arranged by the sovereign Pavel Nejedlý against Ondřej Kratochvíl (6:2, 6:0). The Slovaks Jozef Kovalík against Dominik Kellovský (6:2, 2:6, 6:2) and Filip Horanský against Vojtěch Vlkovský (6:2, 6:0) decided the overall victory of Přerov.
Experienced Marek Jaloviec took care of the only point for Pardubice, who won 6:3 and 6:4 over Ondřej Horák.
