Foot Mondial 2022 – France qualified, Belgium still has the seum
The France team will face Morocco in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The Blues came to the end of England this Saturday evening.
The world champions are still alive! The french team still have a huge chance of retaining their title after their narrow victory against England on Saturday night. Aurélien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud will have made the happiness of the Blues. Still, the Three Lions were overall in control of the game. But a great Hugo Lloris, Coupled with the clumsiness of Harry Kane will have been enough for the France team to continue its journey in Qatar. A painful success which is reminiscent of that against Belgium in the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. And some Belgians did not fail to point this out, with a hint of bitterness. Alex Teklak’s words do not prove otherwise.
England and Belgium, a common fight

The consultant for the RTBF indeed gave his opinion on the qualification of France against England. And for Alex Teklak, it was still French cynicism that made the difference in a cleaver match: “It started in a minor key, but the more time passed, the closer we got to the emotional minutes. From that moment, the English were proposed with their feet, the French were on the reserve and instead offered counterattacks. French cynicism made the difference”. Still, it was the French team who proved to be clinical in the last gesture and who determined their route in Qatar. On the side of the English players, we are not angry either, between criticism of the arbitration and frustration. Declan Rice even told the English press: “Other than their two goals, I don’t remember seeing them being creative. We played pretty well at times. In my opinion the best team lost tonight, and that proves our level. But as the quote says, dominating is not winning and England had the chance to come back. Harry Kane will have failed to equalize after a questionable penalty given to the Three Lions.
