That’s not how you win a Bundesliga game!
Frankfurt Trier Bundesliga wheelchair basketball players conceded a severe 37:61 defeat in Frankfurt without Nathalie and Dirk Passiwan.
(teu) The negative series of the Doneck Dolphins Trier does not stop! There was a clear 37:61 defeat against the Frankfurt Skywheelers on Saturday evening. The fourth in a row. The guests from the Mosel didn’t stand a chance on the Main from the start, were already two digits behind after the first quarter (10:20) and were never able to jeopardize Frankfurt’s victory.
“Frankfurt didn’t play well either. On normal days we should have won,” Dirk Passiwan analyzed the party from home after the live stream. The Trier player-coach and his wife Nathalie couldn’t even travel to Frankfurt – and were missing from every nook and cranny. The hit rate: indisputable. “Our pressing worked well again, but if you don’t get the balls you’ve won in, that’s no use,” said Passiwan and continued: “You can’t win a game in the Bundesliga with 37 points!”
With three wins from ten games, the Dolphins Trier are in seventh place in the table of the first wheelchair basketball league this year. They are now four points away from the play-off places. Next Saturday (December 17, 6 p.m., Halle am Mäusheckerweg) they will face bottom of the table, newly promoted Essen. “We need a win next week to secure us from the bottom,” Dirk Passiwan is now looking at the relegation places again with at least one eye instead of up.
