Tamara gives birth to a baby on a KLM plane from Educator to Amsterdam. “Both Tamara and Maximiliano are fortunately in good health”
A statement from the airline said on Saturday night that medical professionals assisted in the delivery, “for which we are very much credited to them. Mother and child are doing well.”
KLM cannot provide any further information for privacy reasons. The Spaarne Gasthuis Haarlem Zuid reports on its website that a mother and a child born in an airplane were admitted this week. According to the hospital, the woman, Tamara, was on her way from Ecuador to Spain by plane, with Schiphol Airport as a stopover.
“A few hours before the overflow in the Netherlands, they got the last of her stomach and decided to go to the toilet. To her great events, after two contractions, they had a baby in their hands: son Maximiliano. Tamara had no idea she was pregnant and was quite taken aback by what happened.”
Named after medical professional
According to the Spaarne Gasthuis, there were two doctors and a nurse from Austria on the plane, who could help the mother after this surprising delivery. The baby is to purchase one of these people.
After arriving at Schiphol, the two were taken by ambulance to the Spaarne Gasthuis Haarlem South. “Both Tamara and Maximiliano are fortunately in good health,” writes the Spaarne Gasthuis.
,,The team on the birth ward did everything to ensure that both received the right care and were helped on the way for the double papers for Maximiliano. As soon as it is possible, Tamara and Maximiliano will continue their journey to Madrid. The Spaarne Gasthuis wishes them well!”
