Nack criticism of the Netflix documentary: Harry and Meghan hit back
Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) defend themselves against criticism of their Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan”, in which they publish numerous personal video clips and photos. A spokeswoman for Harry and Meghan explained according to “bbc.com”, reports that privacy was a key reason for the couple stepping back from royal duties and leaving the UK in 2020 are false. “The Duke and Duchess have never cited privacy as a reason for their resignation,” the statement said.
“This distorted narrative was intended to silence the couple,” it said. “Indeed, her statement raising her decision to step down makes no mention of privacy and affirms her desire to continue her roles and public duties. Any other suggestion addresses a key point of this series.”
The statement continued: “They choose to share their story on their terms, and yet the tabloid media have created a completely untrue narrative that permeates press coverage and public opinion. The facts are right in front of you.”
Palace trembles before the second part of the documentary
The Netflix streaming service released part one of “Harry & Meghan” last Thursday (December 8). Part two is coming December 15th. Then details of the drama within the royal family around the couple’s departure from Great Britain will probably be discussed.
In the first three episodes that have already been released, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have focused on the beginnings of their relationship and the aggressive reporting about it. Before the broadcast of the other episodes, the palace is now said to be very concerned. As the British newspaper The Times writes, citing a palace insider, would be “the next week like poison”. Speculations could arise in the aftermath of criticism against Harry’s father, King Charles III. (74), who has so far not been the focus of the documentary series. It seems unlikely to observers that the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) will also be cast in a bad light.
