Korean, Chinese and Iranian brands are still considering, but it’s definitely not worth waiting for them in the near future, experts say.
Most of the space will be occupied by Russian companies.
“Large shopping centers are looking for chains such as Lime, Snow Queen, Ascona, Melon Fashion Group. The monobrands of designers Allweneed, 12 Storeez, Anna Pekun, NICE ONE and others are planning to develop in the shopping center,” Yevgenia Khakberdieva, NF Group regional real estate department, said.
Among the contenders for small and medium-sized brands are brands from Belarus (Milavitsa, Mark Formelle, NELVA) and Kazakhstan (Coffee BOOM, Kirpi, MARWIN by Meloman).
This year, Mark Formelle, one of the representatives of Belarusian women’s, men’s and children’s underwear and knitwear, opened six stores in St. Petersburg: in the Pik shopping center, RIO, London Mall, Port Nakhodka, Rodeo Drive” and “Mercury”, in 2023 they plan to open 50 more.
The Coffee BOOM network, which has 65 coffee houses in Kazakhstan and 2 in Uzbekistan, is likely to open two outlets in Moscow. Petersburg, according to Saule Tokhtybayeva, director of the Coffee BOOM chain for development, is also of serious interest to the company, but so far it is only about the intention to sell its franchise to a specific partner.
