Fest opens first store in Brussels
Party, that too yesterday started the Wone360 news, opens the doors of its first store in Brussels. The Dutch interior brand settles in an iconic Art Nouveau building full of fundamental elements in the Châtelain district. The store at Notarisstraat 6-10 is the third in Belgium in Antwerp and Ghent and offers affordable high-end furniture and home accessories with the best possible service. In addition, all furniture is produced in Europe and deaths in the Netherlands.
The property, right next to the church of Sainte-Trinité and at a further distance from high-end boutiques on the stately Avenue Louise, is one of the benchmarks of Châtelain, a lively neighborhood, which with its historic buildings and many restaurants, cafes, galleries and markets is also called Little Paris. All of Fest’s in-store services are available in the store. Customers can go to the advice bar for free and extensive interior advice from an interior design specialist and all sofas and other (modular) furniture can be tested and put together according to their own taste. In addition, designers Arno Hoogland and Caia Leifsdotter exhibit dynamic works of art in the retail space.
Intuitive store design
The three floors of the store together account for more than 265 square meters. The proposed store design is in line with the intuitive way founder and CEO Femke Furnée describes the layout of other Fest stores. The partial oak floors have been retained, the special mosaic floor. The round arches above the shop windows are a perfect match with the organic shapes of Fest furniture. And the characteristic ice blue of the facade is also reflected in the interior.
Furnée: “We very consciously looked at what the building asks for: an inkling, precise style with interesting contrasts. The space has a calm, refined atmosphere with its high – and lowered lower in the store – ceiling and the many underlying corners. To maintain this, we opted for walls in a light earthy tone, with accents in soft green and ice blue. Our special fabrics, organic shapes and poppy colors really come into their own against this calm background. We mainly agree on statements with works of art, materials and finishing.”
International growth
The brand has great ambitions, both in terms of international growth and innovation. Fest offers affordable high-end design with the best possible service, meanwhile and inspiring customers in an innovative way. In short, the brand positions itself as a game changer in the traditional furniture industry. With the new acquisition in Brussels, there are a total of seven stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. In addition, Fest sells in more than twenty countries through resellers.”
