The Prague 11 City Hall was succeeded by the coalition of Movement for Prague 11 (HPP11), Pirates and Prague 11 Sobě. The parties signed the coalition agreement today. The mayor will be HPP11 leader Šárka Zdeňková. The coalition will have a narrow majority of 18 votes in the 35-member council.
The coalition wants to focus on transport, social areas, housing or education. Prague 11 was the last Prague town hall that still did not have a new leader after the elections. The elections in this district were won by HPP11 ahead of the second ANO. Now only the municipality remains without new leadership in the metropolis.
HPP11 will have four members in the management of the town hall, including the mayoress, Praha 11 Sobě two and Piráti three. In addition to Zdeňková, who is in charge of territorial development and security, the council also uses the leader of Prague 11 Sobě Jan Jaroš, who takes care of the social area and healthcare, and Zuzana Böhmová (Pirates) as deputy mayor for sports, culture and digitalization. The councilor for property and investments will be the current mayor Jiří Dohnal (Pirates).
“It’s a historic moment for me and for HPP11, because Prague 11 really didn’t face good political circumstances, so I’m happy and satisfied that it turned out this way. We have relatively detailed coalition priorities, each coalition party has its own. For us, I can mention, for example, transport, parking, cleaning and order,” she said Zdenkova.
Prague 11 He wants to work in social fields and healthcare. “I think that these are areas that, even given the situation in society, will be very important to address both now and in the future,” he said Jaroš. The Pirates will focus on the completion of the Sandra hostel in Opatov. “The second one we would like is an adrenaline park, which has been known for a long time in Mírového hnutí street,” she said Boehm.
The coalition agreement was already approved last week by Prague 11 Sobě, and this week in an internal party vote also by the Pirates, who were deciding between two options, namely the above-mentioned coalition, or an agreement with the current partners in the management of the town hall, i.e. ANO, ODS, TOP 09 and STAN . In the end, the first option won the majority of votes. HPP11 also agreed to the last contract on Thursday evening.
The municipal elections in Prague 11 were won by HPP11 with 11 mandates in the council, which has 35 members. ANO finished second with ten mandates, and Jointly – ODS and NK finished third with four representatives. Čtvrtá Praha 11 has four mandates, three representatives in fifth place were won by Pirates and six are TOP 09, STAN with three mandates.
