Julie Franch Guerra, art and strength
She is the pride of AS Monaco Force Athlétique. At 32, this great photography and sports enthusiast has several titles and records in the discipline.
During a bodybuilding session in her gym in Nice, Julie Franch Guerra is intercepted by a man, impressed by her training.
“I came out of ten years of handballconfides the one who was notably part of the young France teams. I had several major injuries and finally decided to quit. I wanted to do an individual sport and I started with bodybuilding to get back in shape. »

Convinced by his potential, the latter offered him to come and try athletic strength in a club in Nice. “I started in 2018, she remembers. I immediately attached. »
Four years later, the AS Monaco Force Athlétique graduate has two French championship titles in her category (-84kg), four French records and a recent place as European vice-champion won last August in Hungary.
Sacrifices and intensive training
An impressive progression which today places Julie Franch Guerra in a position to qualify for the next world championships and play an important role there.
“I would like to qualify there in developedshe confides. The next French championships which will take place next February in La Garde will qualify for the Worlds in South Africa. »

Ambitious, Julie Franch Guerra trains six days a week, two to three hours a day. Squats, reinforced earth, bedtime press, bodybuilding, all while following a strict diet, the Frenchwoman born in the Principality lives to the rhythm of her sport, in parallel with her position within the Government, where she exercises in particular with the Screening Center .
But another passion animates him on a daily basis. “My father was a photographershe reveals herself. He was notably a photographer for the Prince’s Palace for nearly twenty years.
Photography, an evidence
I bathed in this universe throughout my youth. I knew silver development and darkrooms. I started to get into it myself, then I got caught up in the game.”
Specialized in sport, Julie Franch Guerra takes many shots of athletes in her discipline, but also photos during events, such as the SPORTEL Awards. “I am called to cover competitions, it works rather well. I hope to start photography full-time soon. »

Without abandoning his discipline. Quite the contrary. “I am happy to be in Monaco, a country which has met the honor of these athletes. Top-level sport means a lot of sacrifices, difficult days, for only a few seconds of glory, before falling back into anonymity. »
If Julie Franch Guerra has achieved her goals, it may well be that she will never again be immersed in anonymity. “I want to be world championshe smiled. But for that, there is still a lot, a lot of work. »
