Alerted by complaints from prostitutes, the Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction (JIRS) of Bordeaux had opened a judicial investigation for aggravated pimping and trafficking in human beings, according to the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office.

The investigation led by the Territorial Directorate of the Judicial Police (DTPJ) of Toulouse made it possible to arrest five men and four women. Eight were placed in pre-trial detention, the ninth person was placed under judicial control, specifies the parquet floor.
