Old diesels are in the crosshairs of the Rouen Normandy metropolis. By establishing a ZFE on its territory on September 1, 2022, it immediately established a traffic ban for most of them. Some gasoline vehicles are also affected, but the biggest restriction is clearly aimed at banning old diesel engines from the ZFE.

Which diesel cars are prohibited in the Rouen ZFE in 2023?
In addition to vehicles not classified by the Crit’Air system (therefore dating from before 1997), Crit’Air 5 and 4 cars are persona non grata in the ZFE of Rouen in 2023. These two Crit’Air categories designate respectively the diesel models put into circulation between 1997 and 2000 as well as those put into circulation between 2001 and 2005. These vehicles are therefore prohibited in the ZFE 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
