Signed the Consolidated Text of the Single General Collective Labor Agreement of the Industry Sector, pursuant to Law 59/2016
This afternoon, at the ANIS headquarters, the Consolidated Text of the Single General Collective Agreement for the Industry sector was signed, stipulated in accordance with Law 59/2016. The drafting of the contract required several months of work, having to recommend the many minutes of agreement that have followed one another since 2002 starting from the initial text of 1998. A drafting process made challenging also by the overlaps that have occurred over time, such as for example the intervention of Law 131/2005 which implemented most of the agreements reached with the contractual agreement. This stratification has led to a series of complexities, consequently highlighting the need to make the contract itself more legible and clear. The Consolidated Law goes in that direction and is therefore an important result for workers and employers alike. In addition to this, Law 59/2016 provides, based on representativeness, that there can be only one single contract with erga omnes validity for each sector: this too is a fundamentally clear objective for the entire system. The subsequent and definitive step, provided for by the aforementioned legislation, will be to submit the Consolidated Law to a referendum among the workers. The trade union organizations will then formalize the protocol for carrying it out and, after the authorization of the Guarantor Committee, the votes can be held. Finally, it should be recalled and specified that the new contract also includes the latest renewal agreement signed just this year with validity from 2022-2023, thus also confirming the increases envisaged for the two-year period, respectively of 3% for 2022 and 2.4% for 2023.
