Comic Con Portugal starts Thursday
The 8th edition of Comic Con Portugal starts this Thursday, with 300 hours of programming, until Sunday. The event will take place at Parque das Nações, in a hybrid space that includes the Altice Arena and the surrounding outdoor space. In 115,000 square meters, there will be space for eight auditoriums that will thrill guest panels, activities related to cinema, television, television, cosplay, video games and literature and merchandising.
Upon entering the Altice Arena, the entrance hall will be dedicated to the Artist Alley, that is, the space where the various comic strip artists exhibit and sell their work to the public.
But it will be in the main auditorium, in Sala Altice Arena, Golden Theater & Spotlight, that the biggest events will be shown, from previews to panels of various guests. This space has around 12,500 seats.
During the four days, fans will be able to interact with guests through questions and answers (question and answer). “It’s not a lecture. We don’t have a guest on stage who doesn’t interact. Here visitors can be an integral part of the panel”, Paulo Rocha Cardoso explained to DN during a visit to the press around the venue.
Between the main auditorium and Sala Tejo, there will be the HBO MAX space, focused on the series dragon house with a dragon skull and vise from the series. In the same area will also be the live stage, with 45-minute sessions with guests from different areas.
The cosplay space is located in Sala Tejo, which will have a stage with daily content. Still in this space, there is a gallery, where the Sponge Bob turns into iconic paintings such as, for example, The Creation of Adamand a stage, where the World Cup match – Portugal against Morocco – will be shown on Saturday, accompanied by a figure of Thanos with a scarf from the national team.
It is in the Kids space, above Sala Tejo, that you will find the Lego part with the latest news from the brand, two statues: one of Bowser, the villain of Super Mario, and one from Mario which is interactive. In this space it is also possible to make Lego constructions. For every person who builds a Lego gift and shares it on social media, a gift will be given to a disadvantaged child.
Then, in a tent outside, there is an auditorium where previews like the one from the series Reginald the Vampire and where will the competition be cosplay🇧🇷
The Geek Market is also on the outside with more than 50 brands of exclusive products from series, movies, anime and manga.
