Table tennis Landesliga Salzburg: Tamsweg I rushes from victory to victory
The Tamsweg I table tennis team is rushing from victory to victory in the national league and could bring the autumn championship title to the district on its own.
TAMSWAY. The Tamsweg I table tennis team rushes from victory to victory in the state league. Even after nine rounds, Tamsweg’s top team is still unbeaten and two games before the end it is still in their own hands to bring the autumn championship title to the Lungau. Club spokesman Karl Stöckl reported to us.
national league:
TTC Intersport Brunchl Tamsweg I – TTC Kuchl II 8:2
In the current round, one of Salzburg’s top teams was a guest in Tamsweg, and Tamsweg proved to be a clearly better team. Above all, the opponents from the TT stronghold of Kuchl could never really challenge the two Tamsweg top players Gernot Egger and Adam Smuda. Both were able to confidently win their individual games and only left the guests a single set in total. Chairman Jürgen Dück was also able to win a fight and team leader Josef Rehrl got the point in the doubles alongside Adam Smuda. The Lungau team is still unbeaten, three rounds before the end it is clearly on course for the upper playoff and has every chance of winning the autumn championship title.
national league:
ATSV Salzburg I – TTC Intersport Brunchl Tamsweg I 4:6
The starting position was not easy because Gernot Egger, who is still unbeaten to date, is not available for this difficult away game. However, the opponents also had to struggle with formation problems, could only fall back on two men and had to give up three games without a fight. Nevertheless, a tight gameplay is done. Thanks to an outstanding performance by Adam Smuda, who won his singles game in a superior manner and also won the doubles game with Josef Rehrl, it was ultimately enough for a deserved away win.
Two games left – one at home
There are still two games left for Tamsweg I: A difficult away game against the fifth-placed team in Oberndorf and the big game against the last competitor for the table lead, UTTC Salzburg. “This game will take place on Friday, December 9th at 7 p.m. in the gym at the Tamsweg vocational school. You can look forward to table tennis, which is well worth seeing, admission is free and spectators are very welcome,” club spokesman Karl ein Stöckl finally invited to watch.
