Ice hockey: Magnus League – Magnus League: 22nd day: Nice vs Rouen – The negative spiral continues for the Eagles WAITING
Nice is on an equal footing
Charpentier returns as a goalkeeper starting in the Nice cage. On the Rouen side, it is obviously Pintaric who starts the match. These are the visitors, from the 5th minute, who is going to make a mistake. Pintaric is late in the game against his will: the cage is not well fixed but it is not his fault, nor that of the club received. It’s not deep enough. The southerners do not take advantage of this first opportunity to doubt the evening opponent. Nothing happens until the opening of the score for the visitors. The pressure is good from the attackers who use Charpentier. The winegrowers isolate themselves on the left side and pass for Tessier, absolutely alone in the area of the Nice goalkeeper. Easily, he opened the scoring (12:25; 0-1).

The opener is not insignificant, the Dragons have been pushing for a short time. However, their indiscipline will allow Nice to get back in working order. One after the other, Lamperier (15:48) and Elorinne (16:19) go to prison. That’s when the locals will equalize. The puck lives well but no one dares to make a shift to shoot. Time turns, Valtonen shifts Bélisle to the right. His attempt was diverted by Pintaric and it was on the rebound that Paasovaara scored his eighth goal of the season (17:19; 1-1). The timing is perfect, just before the break.
A second row off topic
Despite a new sensitivity whistled against the visitors after 43 seconds of play, it is Rouen who will trigger the goal machine in this third. Stebih loses the puck in his camp at the blue, well pressed by Lamperier. Beauchemin is on his left, he is served deep. All alone on the right, Vignerons sesame and adjusts Charpentier despite the fact that the cage is moved involuntarily (23:41; 1-2).
It’s a cold shower for the Azureans, who will completely give in in this third. Left side in his defensive zone, Maia is transmitted to Alzon. Novel that exploits it perfectly. His shot finds the skylight (29:49; 1-3).

Kuronen’s partners do not have time to breathe, that the Normans will register a new one but shortly after. Alone, the major Rouen player Beauchemin circled the Nice cage to score the fourth goal of his team (30:32; 1-4).
It’s barely the score announced by the scorer’s table that the Grenoble dolphins will definitely decide the fate of the match. A new counter is won by Lamperier. On the right, the winegrowers are found and put in the axis for Guimond. The Quebecer misses his control then the shot but catches up immediately (31:03; 1-5).
Tired and out of the match, Charpentier gave way to Weninger. Nesa will be sanctioned 40 seconds from the end to start in prison, during the final third. Nice returns to the locker room with his head bowed.
Rouen in management
The vulnerability against Nesa will ultimately yield nothing. Sutor had to make a moralizing speech so that his men could, at least, save honor. Despite two new sanctions against Rouen, decidedly not concentrated in the discipline (Yeo then Pintaric in the 41th), the Eagles make no difference in this power play. On the defensive side, the Southerners have regained stability thanks to Weninger.

By pushing Pintaric to make good saves, a small reward will be found in this third. As the Dragons attacked, the puck was taken by Babka. Proux then launched Captain Belisle deep and went to adjust Pintaric in a very nice way (46:14; 2-5). Nothing more will be scored in this game.
Uncontested victory from Rouen to Nice! Surgical in the second third, the Normans made short work of their evening opponent. The two teams will face each other in a “back to back” on Tuesday. The Eagles defeated Briançon next Thursday, in an already decisive match.
