Coronavirus, 43 new cases in Pisa and its province
In Tuscany there are 594, a regional positivity rate of 20.9%. Fewer hospitalizations, stable intensive care. 4 new deaths
There are 594 new cases of Covid-19 registered in the last twenty-four hours in Tuscany: 152 have been confirmed with a molecular swab and the other 442 with a rapid test. The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,534,159. New cases are 0.04% higher than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.1% (1,745 people) and reach 1,455,243 (94.9% of total cases).
The data relating to the progress of the pandemic are those ascertained today on the basis of the requests of the national civil protection.
At the moment, therefore, there are 67,707 positives in Tuscany, -1.7% compared to yesterday. Of these, 505 (5 fewer than yesterday) are hospitalized: 27 (1 more) are in intensive care. The list of deaths is updated with 4 new deaths: 4 men, with an average age of 73 years.
Since the last daily bulletin, 313 molecular swabs and 2,533 rapid antigenic swabs have been performed: of these, 20.9% were positive. On the other hand, 679 subjects were tested, excluding control swabs: 87.5% of these tested positive.
The trend by province
With the latest cases, the positives since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the metropolitan city of Florence rise to 413,487 (97 more than yesterday), 101,085 in the province of Prato (32 more), 120,138 in Pistoia (60 more) , 78,809 in Massa Carrara (51 more), 166,726 in Lucca (85 more), 178,882 in Pisa (43 more), 140,154 in Livorno (86 more), 138,494 in Arezzo (49 more), 109,765 in Siena (42 more) and 85,569 in Grosseto (44 more). To these must be added 569 cases of positivity notified in Tuscany but which concern residents in other regions.
Tuscany has about 41,544 total cases per 100,000 inhabitants since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents). At the moment, the notification province with the highest rate is Lucca (with 43,423 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Pisa (42,796) and Livorno (42,601). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 38,107).
67,202 are in isolation at home, because they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free (1,150 fewer than yesterday, minus 1.7%).
The 1,455,243 healed registered to date are in all respects, from a viral point of view, certified with a negative swab.

With regard to the province of residence, the deceased are: 1 in Florence, 1 in Massa Carrara, 1 in Lucca, 1 in Livorno.
11,209 have died since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,549 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 911 in the province of Prato, 1,000 in Pistoia, 709 in Massa Carrara, 1,054 in Lucca, 1,259 in Pisa, 838 in Livorno, 716 in Arezzo, 602 in Siena, 410 in Grosseto. Vanno added 161 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
The crude mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deceased/resident population) is currently 303.5 per 100,000 residents. As far as the provinces are concerned, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (373.5 for every 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Florence (355.5 x100,000) and Pistoia (344.5 x100,000), while the lowest is in Grosseto (188.2×100,000).
