The most cases in the last 24 hours were found again in the city of Sofia – 17. In 9 districts – Vratsa, Kardjali, Lovech, Montana, Pernik, Silistra, Targovishte, Haskovo and Shumen, no new infected were registered.
For the day, 858 antigen tests were performed, of which 54 were positive, i.e. 6.29% positive samples. In comparison, in the previous report there were 2,895 antigen tests, of which 167 were positive, i.e. 5.76%. There were 135 PCR tests, of which 4 were positive, i.e. 2.96%. In the previous report, there were 230 tests of this type, of which 18 were positive, i.e. 7.82 per cent.
Total confirmed cases are 1,287,652. 3,767,637 PCR and 7,060,246 antigen tests were performed (a total of 10,827,883)with the average percentage of positive samples since the beginning of the pandemic being 11.89 percent – no change in the daily basis.
Active cases are increasing slightly and there are already 4,441, which is 53 more than the previous report. According to an expert, the huge drop in early July, when active infections fell by about 90,000 in two weeks, is explained by the fact that there have been many unreported recoveries in the past two years and especially during the peaks of the previous waves, when the regional RHIs were extremely busy, due to which the real numbers are not taken into account, and now this indicator is being corrected.
The number of hospitalized persons is also increasing, and they are 354 – by 3 more (9 were hospitalized, 6 were discharged). For comparison, during the worst days of the pandemic in October last year, more than 7,200 patients were treated in hospitals. The number of patients admitted to intensive care units is 40 – no change on a daily basis. Exactly occupancy of intensive care beds is one of the main criteria for tightening the measures in our country, and not, as before, the number of infected persons or active cases.

In this regard, the Unified Information Portal presents data on the occupancy of intensive care beds in the five clusters. After about two months in the green zone, the whole of Bulgaria passed in about two weeks to Stage 0. The whole country is in Stage 0 – blue zone. Due to the reduction of workload in intensive sectors, from March 21 the green certificate has dropped completely. And with the arrival of the fifth official cabinet, appointed by Rumen Radev, it became clearthat every week an expert council will report the most important data and decide if and what measures will be taken.

A total of 26,236 medical personnel are among the official cases of the coronavirus, which means that again there is no news for 24 hours. 1186 people are under quarantine, noting that they are 3255 less than the currently active cases. According to the latest report, 2,074,301 people or 31.91 percent have completed the immunization cycle – added two mRNA doses or one of the “Jansen” company. This figure contains several drastic jumps and drops in recent months for which there was no official explanation. On July 13, people with full immunizations fell by 13,364 guiding the previous report. Sales figures also fell between March 20 and 21 by about 9,000 people, and on July 4 they inexplicably rose by 13,385.
