Russian-born victim’s wife shuts down rumors about her late husband
the disappearance of Viacheslav Taran, the latter has since found himself at the heart of false accusations.
On November 25, two men tragically lost their lives following a helicopter crash in Eze. One of the two victims was Viacheslav Taran, a businessman of Russian origin, married to Olga Taran, founder of the magazine Hello Monaco.
This accident, the cause of which has not been disclosed, provoked many reactions on the Internet, and gave rise to much speculation. Viacheslav Taran subsequently found herself at the heart of terrible rumors. His wife has therefore decided to publish a press release on her site and social networks, in the hope of putting an end to the lies circulating on the web.
” I lost a loving husband and the father of three of our children. Knowing that I will never see him again is terribly painful for me. But what is even more difficult is to remain silent when some people spread lies about my beloved Viacheslav “, she writes.
Viacheslav “has always helped to help the Ukrainian people”
According to Olga Taran, these lies presented by a Ukrainian website, Unian.net, which allegedly published an article stating that Viacheslav was a billionaire involved in money laundering for Russian elites, and allegedly even been a Russian spy.
” It’s all outrageous “, reacts Olga, denouncing an absolute lie. ” My husband and I have never had any relationship with the Russian government, nor any political affiliation. He left Russia to focus on his business in 2008 “, she continues.
Beyond the lack of ties between her husband and Russia, Olga adds that, since 2014, her husband has continued to support a Ukrainian charity, Changeonelife.ua. Moreover, when the war in Ukraine broke out almost a year ago, ” Viacheslav and his friends created Pristaniste.me, a charity for Ukrainian refugees in Montenegro, which welcomed the first refugees from March 5, 2022, and which continues to help develop Ukrainians in need. »
Denouncing an unjust attack on her husband, ” who has always helped to support the people of Ukraine through his charities, especially children who had lost their parents “, Olga Taran points the finger at the role played by certain media which relayed this information, like the tabloids The Daily mail and The sun. ” I ask them to stop spreading these lies. (…) My children have already been harassed because of these accusations, and I am concerned for their safety “, she adds.
Olga Taran discovered a certainty: those who knew Viacheslav, and in particular the Monegasque community, know that all these accusations are false. ” Please don’t smear his name and memory. We still haven’t received Viacheslav’s body, due to the investigation, and each passing day is an additional unbearable suffering. »
