Florence, Taste arrives and focuses everything on pasta
Pasta is the star of the 16th edition of Taste, the Pitti Immagine fair dedicated to food and wine excellence, scheduled from 4 to 6 February 2023 in Florence at the Fortezza da Basso, a new location to which it has already moved since the last edition (previously it took place at the Leopold station). 500 exhibitors will participate, with around 80 companies present for the first time.
The choice of the Fortress has allowed Taste to grow and expand in an exhibition itinerary that includes various areas. The transition from the Stazione Leopolda to the Fortezza da Basso, which became necessary during the pandemic – says Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine – offered us the right opportunity to let the show express its full potential. The new scenography was primarily appreciated by the companies: 90% of the participants in the last edition will return in 2023. The new entries were instead selected with the rigor of all time with direct scouting or evaluating the over 250 requests for participation that we received .
Jazzy Taste is the theme of the event’s launch campaign, which heralds a rediscovered rhythm: after the forced stop, tastings will return to all the stands, while on the ground floor there will be a special area dedicated to bitters with a selection of artisan labels that represent the excellence of made in Italy. But the theme of this edition is pasta: Taste will offer a special journey to discover the experiences and facets of the world of pasta, and the names of some important pasta factories. The theme will also be declined with an installation and debates on dry pasta, the link with fashion. There will also be a debate on agricultural entrepreneurship from a women’s perspective.
