Toulouse. The Department organizes the 2nd Social and Solidarity Economy Meetings
Saturday December 3 at 9:30 a.m., Isabelle Hardy, Vice-President in charge of Diversification and Economic Loosening, Social and Solidarity Economy and Local Employment, opens the 2nd Social and Solidarity Economy Meetings at the Hôtel du Département, in the presence of André Ducorneau, president of the Regional Chamber of the ESS (CRESS).
This second edition, led by “Les imaginations fertiles”*, brings together all the major players in the SSE, leaders of socially innovative projects, third places supported by the community, and local elected officials.
Since July 2020, the Departmental Council has implemented a specific action plan to strengthen the social and solidarity economy in the territory, and support its network of actors. The “social and solidarity innovation fund” makes it possible to support each year the emergence of projects that meet the specific needs of living areas, in rural, peri-urban and mountain areas. This fund makes it possible to support around ten projects per year. In 2022, this represents a budget of €150,000.
During these meetings, three initiators of innovative projects supported in this context will present their activity: “Café and co”, which is the first inclusive café in Toulouse; “Pousses ô abris”, which re-vegetates urban spaces thanks to a network of nurseries and gardens, and “La Rafistolerie”, which is a resource deployed in Castanet-Tolosan.
