Charlotte Casiraghi confides in her life as an (almost ordinary) mother in Monaco

Mother of two boys, Raphaël and Balthazar, Charlotte Casiraghi preserves her family life on the Rock. However, the modest Monegasque has agreed to say a little more about her daily life in the principality.
Sufficiently rare to be underlined, Charlotte Casiraghi indulged in a few secrets about her family life in Monaco with her two boys: Raphaël (8 years old) and Balthazar (4 years old). A role of mother in which she flourishes, mentioned in an interview with the magazine “City & Country», for its December/January 2023 edition.
Princess Caroline’s daughter explains that she lives on the Rock, near her brothers Andrea and Pierre. Thus, his sons play regularly with their cousins. “I would say that the typical day is not that exciting or different from that of many mums,” says the 36-year-old Monegasque. We thus learn that Raphaël (born of her relationship with Gad Elmaleh) and Balthazar (whom she shares with son husband Dimitri Rassam) smoking the ferry every day to go to school. Once at home, the two boys can spend time on the screens, without limits.
From their mother, Raphaël and Balthazar seem to have already produced his passion for literature. The eldest loves comic book classics such as Tintin and the Smurfs, and he has just discovered “The Little Prince” with pleasure. For his part, Balthazar seems rather supplied by Greek mythology and his gods Zeus and Hercules.
A stronger mother-daughter bond
On her relationship to motherhood, Charlotte Casiragui notes that each day brings its share of difficult and incredible moments. “Every day you go through times where you worry about your kids or they wear you down, and then you go through times where you share so much with them and you don’t even question that they’re the thing. the most important thing of your life,” adds the Chanel muse.
For sure, becoming a mother has had an impact on the relationship she has with her own mother, Carolina of Monaco. “I feel like we can be closer. Of course, you have more empathy and you understand more things, because it is a transmission of the maternal bond, ”she underlines. A link that they revealed on November 19, on the balcony of the Prince’s Palace, during Monaco’s National Day. For the first time, the young Balthazar took part in the festivities, surrounded by his family.
