Ten injured in a fire in Barcelona’s Eixample
Six fire departments have worked to extinguish the fire in Calle Roselló with Calàbria
A device or fire has awakened the residents of a building in Barcelona’s Eixample early this Tuesday. The fire started at 7 o’clock in the morning on the second floor of number 44 – 46 of Calle Rosellón, which is on the corner with Calàbria, and ten people have been treated by inhalation of fumes. The fire was launched just three days after it a man died in a hotel in the Eixample due to another fire.
Neighbors have released videos where the fire is seen inside the building and many residents on the street while firefighters work to put out the fire. Of the ten residents affected by smoke inhalation, seven have been taken to a hospital in a mild state
six endowments de Bombers de Barcelona have worked to extinguish the fire. Several SEM ambulances and Urban Guard patrols have also been mobilized.
The Barcelona Fire Brigade have evacuated the entire estate and are reviewing this Tuesday whether the fire has affected the building structure.
Third fire in three days in the city center
The fire of this Tuesday, is the third that happens in the center of barcelona just three days apart. This Saturday, a 58-year-old man died from a fire in a room at the Hotel Zenit Borrell, located at number 208 Comte Borrell street. The fire originated in a room on the third floor of the hotel and the evacuation of the entire establishment took place, in which some 80 people were found.
This Friday, two people were injured in a fire in a room in an apartment in Barcelona.
