Five Advent calendars to make at the last minute
December 1st is in two days! And it is of course a little late to embark on artistic creations. That’s no reason not to have fun with a Advent calendar Easy. Effective, inexpensive and good. Here are five last-minute ideas.
fashion pictures
In envelopes cut out of pretty paper (or newspaper, hey!) or already ready-made, numbered from 1 to 23, insert each time a photo that you have had printed. It’s true, we don’t edit our photos enough anymore! In the last (that of December 24 of course), make a voucher that entitles you to a pretty jumbled frame or an album to collect these photos. And what’s more, it gives you time to go buy it!
Positive thoughts and little attentions
A little sweetness in this world of brutes, it can’t hurt. Always in envelopes numbered from 1 to 24 (homemade or not), insert positive thoughts, sweet words or, simply, little attentions for moments alone, as a couple, with family or friends. It can be a scratch ticket, a swimming pool entry, a cinema ticket, a voucher for a walk in the forest… You can very well hang the envelopes on a pretty branch.
Small rolled papers
Take 24 skewers, toothpicks or popsicle sticks. On each one, fix with an adhesive tape a small rolled up piece of paper, on which you must first write a “voucher for…” Each day, choose or have someone choose a photo at random and… discover the surprise! We can imagine very simple, free things for young and old, such as a voucher for a Christmas movie night, a hug, the meal of your choice, a board game evening, a bubble bath that sent good or even the installation of the Christmas tree.
The “challenge” calendar
We love the idea of the “challenge” calendar. After numbering and assembling 24 rolls of toilet paper in the shape of your choice (star, tree, round, etc.), slide a challenge or a good resolution inside each one. Because we don’t have to wait for the 1uh January for that! To close each roll, you can cut circles of paper or fabric, adjusted with a rubber band.
Having fun can also be… having fun! Prepare a case or a pretty box in which you will put, every day, an object that you no longer want or that you no longer need. At Christmas, bring your collection to an association or to the people of your choice.
