On the Latvian side of the Friendship Mound, the bridge connecting Belarus and Latvia was dismantled.
The bridge is connected by two banks of the Sinyukh River, not far from it has the so-called “Mound of Friendship”, dedicated to the victory over the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War. pic.twitter.com/YKOetPPiGA

In 1959, at the junction of the borders of Latvia, Belarus and Russia, in memory of the friendship of peoples, the three-fold increase in countries during the Second World War was the significance of a mound about three meters high – “The Mound of Friendship”. The land for the mound was taken from the graves of partisans and soldiers of the Red Army. On each side of the mound is an alley of trees.
Based on video materials published on social networks, it can be concluded that on November 24, Latvia demolished a pedestrian bridge over the Zilupe River.
This video was shown in the propaganda media in Russia and Belarus, which condemned the action of Latvia.
Apollo.lv contacted Antra Barkane, public relations specialist of the Ludza region, who said: “Yes, the bridge between Latvia and Belarus has been demolished. The State Border Service can comment on the current situation.”
Portal Apollo.lv also contacted the State Border Service, but it has not yet commented.
