Opened in 1992, this establishment on a human scale, knew how to evaluate and modernize to always offer the best welcome for our elders and we are proud of this beautiful course. We are also celebrating the formidable team of the Tiers Temps residence with this event which resembles us and which brings together families, collaborators and local partners. It is to celebrate the unfailing support of the staff of the residence and to offer a moment of conviviality to the residents and their families that a festive lunch was organized this Friday, November 25th. On the program: a meal prepared on site by the chef of the residence, musical intermediaries with jazzy and warm exchanges between the teams of the residence and the relatives of the residents whom they accompany on a daily basis. This event is part of a broader desire of the establishment to maintain social ties. For example, the establishment is developing a specific project called “Social life” which is built around residents’ life plans, offering them appropriate support. The objective is, by respecting their rights, their choices and their integrity of residence, to promote their integration within the, to maintain their social interactions as well as their physical and cognitive abilities.
Résidence Tiers Temps Rouen: comfort and aging well for seniors
I am delighted to have been able to attend this convivial event, which allowed me to discuss with the residents, their relatives and the management teams of the establishment. These exchanges nourish my thinking and fuel my legislative work, particularly on a subject that is dear to me, the care of our seniors. I salute all the teams for their commitment, the quality of their work and their constant desire to maintain social ties, so essential for the people they support in their loss of autonomy.
Annie VIDAL, Member of Parliament for the 2nd district of Seine-Maritime, Commissioner for Social Affairs and President of the Rouen Elbeuf Territorial Health Council
The residence offers a rehabilitation space as well as therapeutic workshops : memory, gentle gymnastics with the Siel Bleu association… Also animations to help the daily life of the residents : motor activities, animal mediation, musical quiz, brainstorming, discussion group on current topics, fun and entertaining activities (pastry, board games, singing, lotto, manual creations, etc.) but also intergenerational activities and outings.
For the residence, it is a moment of celebration today to celebrate this beautiful anniversary. It is also an opportunity to celebrate the tremendous bond of trust that exists between the integrated teams, our dear residents and families. More than a third of the employees have between 15 and 20 years of seniority within the residence, two of them have even been there since the beginning of the adventure and I wish them warmly for their daily work. We are also committed to passing on the knowledge of the most experienced employees to new recruits. This reinforces the safe environment we offer residents.
