In Florence the first expo of the Chianti Colli Fiorentini Consortium • Nove from Florence
The first appointment ever to present the offer of Chianti Colli Fiorentini Consortium. The first expo of the Consortium was born with this objective, hosted in the marvelous Arms Hall of Palazzo Vecchioin the heart of Florence, Thursday 1 December. An event dedicated to quality wine and the culture of good living designed and organized to raise awareness of the specifics of the Chianti Colli Fiorentini and the suggestive areas that host it. A full day dedicated to the wine of Florence to deepen knowledge, with tastings and opportunities to meet and exchange with individual producers, as well as specific moments dedicated to the press and sector operators. A fundamental event in which the various players in the wine market will be involved, with segments dedicated to each category.
The initiative stems from the idea and intuition of the members of the Chianti Colli Fiorentini Consortium who, in this way, will have the opportunity to let journalists, industry experts and simple enthusiasts know about the qualities and peculiarities of the wines produced and of all the activities that these companies carry out on a daily basis.
The day will start in the morning with appointments dedicated to the Italian and foreign press, with journalists who will have the opportunity to taste the products of the Consortium but also get to know one of the most evocative areas of Tuscany. In the afternoon, from 14 to 20, the event will be open to the public, who will be able to taste the wines of the 18 producers of the Consortium present. To participate in the free tastings it is necessary to register through the eventbrite platform at the link https://bit.ly/ExpoChiantiColliFiorentini.

The Consortium Chianti Colli Fiorentini
The Chianti Colli Fiorentini Consortium was founded in 1994 by a small number of winegrowers with the dual purpose: to improve quality and promote the denomination. Its symbol is the “Marzocco”, the rampant lion that appears on the Tower of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence – only instead of the spear held by the lion is there a glass of wine to signify the close link between today’s productive reality and the ancient Florentine tradition. Over time, the Consortium has gained more and more consensus and now has 28 members who represent over 52% of the production.
The Chianti Colli Fiorentini denomination covers a large hilly area in 16 municipalities bordering Florence: Barberino Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, Montespertoli, Certaldo, San Casciano Val di Pesa, Montelupo Fiorentino, Lastra a Signa, Scandicci, Impruneta, Florence, Bagno a Ripoli , Fiesole, Pontassieve, Rignano sull’Arno, Pelago, Reggello, Incisa Figline.
