Dosimeter corruption case: Prague has so far failed to submit audits of the Transport Company and the municipality
The audit is to check the assets transactions and orders between 2014 and 2022 in the DPP and municipal companies Prague Services, Prague Waterworks and Kolektory Praha. Another is to focus directly on some DPP projects, for example, a joint venture to develop the area around the Nádraží Holešovice metro station. The third audit is then supposed to check the municipality and determine whether some contracts had links to companies linked to people accused in the Dosimeter case.
However, none of the audits can be entered yet. Although one was put up for competition, the municipality subsequently canceled it due to a conflict of interests. According to Marvanová, it is therefore necessary to clearly determine the next procedure. “The office processes material to advise how audits should be commissioned to be successful,” she said.
“During the procedure, it was discovered that for a certain period of time, the DPP did not provide sufficient cooperation for the processing,” the councilor added. According to Deputy Mayor Adam Scheinherr (Prague Sobě), who is in charge of the DPP, the company provides cooperation. At least for the last few weeks, the cooperation has been, the DPP provides the documents that the office requests,” he said. However, according to Marvanová, the company knew about the audits since June, and the contract for providing information was signed only recently.
On Thursday, at the suggestion of the chairman of the control committee Ondřej Prokop (ANO), the representatives also decided that the city will deal with the situations and have in-depth audits also prepared by the Technical Administration of Communications and the Institute of Planning and Development.
In the Dozimeter case, the police accused, among others, the then deputy mayor of Prague and the mayor of Lysolaj, Petar Hlubuček (formerly STAN), the former financial director of the DPP, Matej Augustín, and businessman Michal Redl. According to the police, the group of accused systematically occupied a key position in the company so that the appointed friendly managers could influence tender procedures with the aim of receiving bribes.
