The incredible Toulouse overthrows Fréjus!
At the end, again, of the starting shot, Toulouse wins its semi-final, to the detriment of Fréjus. The Toulousains will challenge Bron in the final of the Trophée des Villes.
Fréjus / Toulouse: the big favorite against the defending champion. A dream semi-final from Palavas-les-Flots. Passed very close to the correctional in the previous round, the Toulousains failed to find what made them strong last year. From the doublets, the Varois make the difference. Two successes (13-10 and 13-3) which allow Dylan Rocher and his partners to approach the triplet in very good shape.
Still with Dylan Rocher, Henri Lacroix and Stéphane Robineau, Fréjus starts the best way against Paul Faurel, Bryan Faurel and Rocky Rathqueber. A first leads by two points, before another by three points: after a few minutes, Fréjus is already leading 5-0.
Toulouse manages to stop the bleeding (5-2 then 5-3) and recovers (5-5). Fréjus manages to regain his ease (8-5), thanks in particular to a “Dydy lightning” still as precise in shooting. But, as since the start of the competition, the defending champions are hanging on. Even in difficulty, they manage to equalize: 8-8.
The starting shot, a Toulouse specialty
The wind turns in this part. Fréjus is more imprecise, Toulouse more opportunistic. A lead of three points allows Toulouse to take control of the game for the first time (8-11). Despite an excellent Bryan Faurel in shooting, the Haut-Garonnais missed the opportunity to win. It is Fréjus who benefits with two new points (10-11).
Passed close to defeat, Fréjus does not manage to avoid it during the next lead. Toulouse wins 13-10 and offers itself, again, a starting shot. Exercise specialists, the Toulousains won the first workshop (14-12) and continued to race in the lead (23-19). Before the last workshop, Fréjus is up against the wall: 32-25 for Toulouse. An advantage confirmed by the title holders who dismiss Fréjus and offer themselves a new final. Toulouse – Bron: it will be the shock of the final from 2 p.m.
