Luka yells at Bones for not switching to his Slovenian teammate
Luka Dončić put on a real show on Friday evening. Dončić scored 33 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in the Dallas Mavericks’ 127:99 victory over the Denver Nuggets. But in addition, Dončić managed to catch up with one of his teammates from the Slovenian national team, as Denver forward Vlatko Čančar is the only Slovenian in the league besides Goran Dragić and the Dallas star.
Čančar played 23 minutes and scored eight points from the bench, but as Iztok Franko warned, one possession of the ball with Dončić on the bench and Čančar on the floor caught the eye. Nuggets guard Bones Hyland dribbled into the corner, drew the attention of Dallas’ Christian Wood and hoisted up a contested 3-pointer with some time left on the shot clock that didn’t go in the frame.
Wood guarded Cancar, who was left wide open behind the three-point line. Although Hyland is a guy who can hit that shot, Doncic was pretty frustrated that the ball wasn’t passed to his compatriot, to the point where he yelled at Hyland to pass the ball after the missed shot, even though it would have helped the other team.
Funny moment from last night’s game 😂
Luka shouted to Bones Hyland to pass the ball to his 🇸🇮 national team teammate Vlatko Čančar, who plays…for the Nuggets.

Dončić is right here, as Čančar would have missed an undisputed shot. But ultimately, it’s just a funny moment involving a bunch of co-stars.
