“The faces of innocence”, a new photographic exhibition in San Marino
It was inaugurated yesterday by the Captains Regent, Maria Luisa Berti And Manuel Ciavattain the presence of the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, Andrea Belluccithe exhibition, set up in the Pinacoteca San Francesco, entitled “The faces of innocence”.
The event “Faces of Innocence” was made by management of the elementary school in collaboration with the Cultural Institutes and with the sponsorship of State Secretariat for Education and Culture.
It is an initiative that was born in 2018, through the donation of 16,000 works destined for 245 schools around the worldby the Atlanta Besharat Arts Foundation and which, starting this year, also involves the elementary schools of the Republic of San Marino.
San Marino elementary schools received, thanks to the well-known photographer I will be Di Bartoloa permanent donation of 120 large-format photographs, made by the author together with three other internationally renowned colleagues: David Lazarus, Simon Lister And Hartmut Schwarzbach.
The purpose of the donation of these images is to educate young people to respect ethnic, cultural and religious diversity, condemning discriminatory and racist behaviors while spreading the art of photography among the youngest.
The Secretary of State for Education and Culture, Andrea Belluzzipointed out how “it is a project of great value, which stimulates empathy and sensitivity, showing that in diversity all the children of the world are equal”.
The photographic exhibition is open to the public from 17 November to 31 December 2022. From January 2023, it will be on permanent display in the primary school premises.
