Glasner tops Salzburg in race for Aaronson brother – Soccer – International – Germany
Eintracht Frankfurt has hit the transfer market and officially presented its first winter signing.
The name is not unknown in Austria either: Paxten Aaronson is the young brother of ex-Salzurg Brenden, who switched to Leeds United in the Premier League for over 30 million euros in the summer.
Like Brenden, Paxten comes from the youth side of MLS club Philadelphia Union. Red Bull Salzburg is said to have observed the talent for a long time and hoped for a transfer.
Aaronson will receive a contract with Frankfurt until June 2027. The transfer fee is said to be around four million euros. Furthermore, Philadelphia should earn a decent amount in the event of a possible resale. Another US talent dares to make the move to Europe.
Eintracht sports director Markus Krösche is enthusiastic about the transfer and assures: “Paxten will get the necessary time from us to get used to the new environment and to develop as best as possible.” In Frankfurt, one will hope that Paxten will have a similar career as his big brother lies down.
The first winter transfer is fixed! ✍️
Eintracht have American midfield talent Paxten Aaronson from @PhilaUnion obligated. The 19-year-old receives a contract that is valid from January until June 30, 2027.
