Velký Strahov Stadium – from the west stand – Prague 6
The place where the sokol gatherings, spartakiades, the Rolling Stones played or the Pope himself celebrated mass. The Velký Strahov Stadium is not only an open chronicle of the history of the 20th century, but also of the development of building styles and technologies. What is the story of one of the biggest stadiums in the world? Special barrier-free guided tour to introduce the stadium from the upper part of the western stand, which was intended only for honours.
The original architect of Alois Dryák’s design managed to complete the functionalist tribune and the presidential lounge shortly before his death in 1932. It provides one of the most beautiful views of the stadium, including the places where the entrance gate of Borc was once located. Come and take a look inside the unique and partly dilapidated colossus, which still remains in the vivid memories of many. You will learn more about the history and architecture of the listed building, its fate is still open due to the possibility of use.
The tour is scheduled priority for people with limited mobility (seniors, visitors on crutches, with a walker, in a wheelchair, etc.) and their companions who cannot complete the tour of the Velký Strahov Stadium – from stand to stand.
Advance ticket booking required.
