Stralsund. The Stralsunder HV has the next difficult away task in front of its chest on Saturday (7 p.m.). Coach Steffen Fischer’s handball players compete in the 3rd league at fourth-placed HSV Hannover. “They are very strong at home and live from the unity of the team. They are quite similar to us, except that they have been together as a team for a long time and know each other better,” Fischer assesses the Hanoverians. In their own sports hall in Misburg, coach Robin John’s team has so far only been beaten by OHV Aurich (32:38).

Duel of the surprise teams
Lukas Quedenbaum should keep a close eye on the Stralsund defense. With 55 field goals, the right winger from HSV is the most successful thrower from the game in the northern season. The opponent, the third club from the Lower Saxony state capital alongside leaders TuS Vinnhorst and TSV Burgdorf II, has been surprisingly good so far. In the pre-season, the Leine-Städter were only able to remain in the 3rd division via the relegation relegation. “Alongside us, they are one of the surprise teams in the league so far. Now they have a little more bad luck with injuries than we do,” says Fischer. In the derby against Vinnhorst (23:32) in the previous week, three A-youths were on the pitch at the same time.

The SHV trainer currently only has to do without Fiete Berger. The line runner suffered a torn ligament in his knee in the game at DHK Flensborg and has already missed the last three matches. “But he’ll be able to get back into full swing in the new year and will help us again in the home game against MTV Braunschweig (January 15),” Fischer gives the all-clear. the 32-year-old can draw on his entire squad.
